I'm not a close follower of football outside SSL L1 so can anyone explain to me why Liverpool are hot favourites for the final at the weekend? Tottenham have had a good season, no?

Hi Cris

Liverpool have had a better season than Tottenham and won both the league games they’ve played this season.

That said, I believe it could go either way.

As a Spurs fan it’s the biggest night of my footballing life! Anxiety setting in already frown

Apparently liverpool are the best team in the world and Tottenham don’t deserve to even be in the final if you listen to what souness has said.

It’s a one off game and either can win I just hope it’s a good entertaining match to watch

Interesting, so that stats support Liverpool as favourites?

Interesting the postcode for Anfield is L4 0TH, which could be taken to mean Liverpool 4, 0 Tottenham Hotspur.

Have Spurs travelled well this season? As both teams are away that could be a key factor.

As a Liverpool fan I can’t see it going any other way than a resounding victory!!!!!

Saying this it’s not gauranteed as anything can happen but the way we have played all season is astounding and to miss out on the league was heartbreaking crying

In football I have not experienced anything worse than seeing my team lose a Champion's League final.

Especially as Henry had a nailed on chance to make it 2-0 and the equaliser was offside.

10 X worse than the debacle the other night.

So,

I think it both teams play to their best, Liverpool win. I think if we are anything less than our best we will be in trouble. I do think the pressure is all on Liverpool to win this one, If we do not, questions will again be asked about Klopp and his record in finals etc.

I can't wait, moving house this weekend and away for a new contract next week, so its a busy time, its distracted me a little but its starting to hit now that it's tomorrow.

Projector is almost up, fridge has beers and I have a shiny new bottle of Johnny Walker Blue ready to go! (no furniture in the new house yet!)

I have been a massive Tottenham fan since the early 90s.

What ever happens tonight, I will be very proud of the team.

Hopefully it will be our first of many trophies

Not a follower of either but my late father was a Liverpool fan and my brother is a spurs fan.

So I'm completely torn as to who I'd like to see lift the trophy tonight.

Hope it's a cracker and both do their travelling support proud.

I have to admit I started off watching and fell asleep.

Can't wait for non league proper football to start again. No VAR rubbish which raises as many arguments as it was supposed to solve.
