Cheers TomI must have been tired after a long day at work. I read this thread again just now and spotted your club number straight away.
I’ve not even started Christmas drinking yet!

My turn also says that my player turn down the deal. No further explanation.
I have a space on my sheet to try again if you think it’s worth another go?
Could the reason be a difference between his value and the selling price? I’m not trying to squeeze more out of you, just wondering if that could a reason.

I took a look at this deal.
It seems that the reason is that the player transferred in from another club just 7 weeks (turns) ago. He has moved his kids into a new school, bought a house in the area and discovered an ace Italian restaurant just down the road.
He has a contract and doesn't want to move again at the moment so he is entitled to turn down a move.
If you get the 'turned down by the player' message it is either because he has only recently joined the club in a transfer deal with another manager or if he is on too low a wage for his value as that same wage will be picked up by the new club in a new contract.
Hope that explains.Cheers... Steve

That’s a thing I never really thought of, in real life this happens
An example of this is Ben White( Leeds last season)
Gone back to brighton and had a house built just down the road from me at the end of last season when his house was finished ,decided he did not want to return to leeds( understandable really)
Hannahs 518 lg1( Premier lg champions in season 4)
Worthing Allstars 525 lg1
Emley City 578 lg2
Worthig fc 614 Lg2
Emley Town 99 club 1230 Lg3
Worthing REBELS club 1272 lg3

Thanks for the explanation Steve.
Tom, I hadn’t realised that player recently joined. Seems I’ll have to keep him as a back up.
I have a 41 rated 31 year old ATT that’ll be the next for sale. He’s on 7 weeks currently so nothing can happen for 3to 4 weeks

A good example I'm sure there are others.
Since we are talking real life I think I am correct in saying that a player can only play for two clubs in a single season certainly at the elite level which I am sure Summit is.

It’s funny but he couldn’t get in the Brighton side and went on loan to Leeds( I’d never heard of him as I don’t follow brighton)
However, one of my mates said ( who supports Brighton) said Leeds wanted to buy him but he’d just had this house built in offington near where I live and didn’t want to commute anyway so he said he will be returning to brighton, that’s what happened
Anyways he’s playing against Leeds today, big loss for Brighton coming?

Any comparisons made to “real life football” are just ridiculous.
I signed a MID from auction this season in League 2 on Week 1 (14 turns ago). He’s played every game, we are top of the league and in all competitions, he’s the highest paid player at the club and now he wants to leave at the first opportunity to sign a new contract.
Can anyone find a real life example like this? Let me know if you do

I feel 99 honest deals are blocked to find one dodgy one with this new rule.
Ah maybe a bit of both them Gaz I remember Leeds having several bids for him turned down
