As you will all know the post isn't working Thurs 2nd and Fri 3rd June.
This will lead to some deadline adjustments but hopefully not to any delays. League 2 Week 23 which has a deadline of 30 May might not arrive until Sat 4th June so the next deadline for that League (Week 24) will be the following Saturday instead of the Thursday. I will try and process it over that weekend so please do not be late with your turn.
The deadline for League 3 Week 30 may be pushed forward a day but should still go out on Thursday as normal
League 1 should be unaffected

The lack of communication is concerning! Now the whole traffic light system has vanished we are completely in the dark. I put a support ticket in on Monday and have still heard nothing....... My opinion is that it feels like things are slipping backwards with Summit

You'll get the reply that it was requested the traffic lights be removed and he was responding to those requests.
I still am amazed that this causes a debate, it won't change as, and this has been mentioned lots of times, it's not a job, it's more of a hobby and doesn't pay the mortgage.
The sooner everyone accepts that the better. We just need to get on with our lives and one day the envelope will drop.

Regardless of if a turn takes a month (Not far off ) you are missing my point Graham. My issue is with communication. At least let us know when it will be dropping. People don't like being left in the dark. It takes a few minutes to leave a message....

Also most people didn't want the removal of the lights but a more refined way of communication. It is clarity I always want from anything and I personally feel like we have moved further away from that here.

I believe the old forum may still be accessible and if so everyone will see that lack of communication has also been an issue for many years.
It is probably, as you say, more of an issue than the delays themselves. As I have said, it won't change. I used to moan loads about it but it got me nowhere.
It really is a great game, I agree, that's why so many managers have stuck with it. Even despite the delays, lack of communication etc. That's why managers come back to it after leaving because of the delays but I don't think it will ever really have a consistent flow to it.
I'm not knocking Steve for that now, just saying what I think and what managers will have to accept of it in its current guise.

I understand what you're saying Graham and you're right but I joined last August and maybe there should be a mention on the website home page for potential new managers, just letting them know that this is run as a hobby and you might get a turn once every two weeks, you might get one once every three weeks or maybe once a month.
Then new players can make a decision based on the reality. I had no knowledge of how it is run before joining. The fact that is is a good game has kept me going up to now.

I don't know if the title was meant ironically, but I always thought the thread called 'Full Steam Ahead' was destined to blow a gasket at some point and boy oh boy, did it ever. Here we are, back here again in the repair shed, less than 4 weeks later. No communication down the line or updated timetables.

Fair enough.
Some people like the challenge of sticking with a club through thick and thin (or thin and thinner).
Other people like to chop and change clubs while working out how to play the game. Each to their own. I’m personally happy to keep loyal to MY club rather than taking over somebody else’s going concern.
Any ideas how you’re going to spend your time in Summit retirement?

I don't believe I said I was retiring. I did say I will put my time into something else if we don't have a degree of regularity.
I will wait until the end of the season and possibly cut down on the number of teams I have.
My preference is to get back to regular turns. I have very recently taken a team in another PBM (not out of a desire for something new but due to downtime between turns here). The other PBM just for the record processes and sends a turn like clock work every Thursday at Mid day. I received the turn yesterday at a couple of minutes past 12.00.
I really enjoy Summit. Hopefully I can continue to do so for awhile yet.

I would like to add that the word hobby is my choice, not anything that Steve has used.
But if you're not doing something for profit or to supplement a living I would think its more like that.
