I have 2 PM's on the Forum, but although I have tried many times over the last couple of days I can't get into them. I have contacted Steve and he suggested I as if anyone else is having a similar problem. If you are please let me know.

Not had a problem with pm but every page seems to take an age to load at the moment. Really annoying tbh!!!!

I've updated everything but no change. I've disabled all plug ins but still no change so I'm at a bit of a loss.
This is free forum software from a few years ago. It's no longer supported and they only have paid for yearly licences now.
Probably the solution will be to replace the forum software so I will get around to that when I can. Until then you will just need to be patient with the page loading times... sorry

It’s not just a forum issue I’m afraid Steve as it took me ages to submit a turn yesterday.
Although I got a confirmation email about 5 minutes after submitting, the page still hadn’t confirmed that it had been sent for a further 10 minutes after that so I gave up waiting. Then this afternoon I received another email thanking me for submitting my turn and when I looked on the site the thank you page on the site greeted me.

You're right. I think I know what the issue is. It will take a few days to resolve.
If anyone wants the technical version... I think the server PHP version needs updating. I have legacy software running elsewhere so I will need to check compatability first

The hosting company will schedule a PHP update to the minimum requirement in the next few days which should solve the slow site issues.
It will no doubt cause problems elsewhere as these things often do but that's another bridge

The PHP server upgrade that should solve the slow forum and turn submission issues is scheduled for Mon 26th August

This upgrade has completed but hasn't solved the slow forum response time.
I will be troubleshooting this over the next day or so to try and identify the problem as I know now that it isn't a server PHP issue.
