..... New Document.... End of Season ratings changes for League 3 Season 7.
This document also contains the same information for the following season for both Leagues 1 and 2. It is just so you have advanced knowledge, obviously the current document will still apply to Leagues 1 and 2.
You will probably notice the leaning towards developing young players as youth finds are likely to have the higher max potentials and I can say in advance that there will not be a lot of young players on the auction next season for all Leagues.
As always it is up to you how you approach these changes which I think will freshen the game up a bit

Pity for lg1 and lg2 it can’t happen this season as it would liven up the game now rather than in 15 months time

Some big changes over night there! Why the make the drops for 31/32 year olds bigger? That's a bit unrealistic these days 31 isn't old. Also talking of re freshing the games updating club news next I hope!

I think this is a good set of changes Steve, bringing through high potential youngsters was going to be a challenge for a lot of us next season. My hi potential 7 rated lad was a good example. The decent boosts for 19/20/21 years olds is appreciated too.
Effectively the increased potential has stretched the range, so a drop for an oldie of 3 didn't mean much compared to when a star player was rated 25 so that makes sense.
Next season is already looking fun!

At the risk of sounding like I belong on a register that none of us want to be on, where have all the 15 year olds gone? I could barely contain my excitement when one popped up at auction, but haven’t seen one for a long time sadly.

I have a question.....Is there now no maximum rating that a player under the age of 21 can boost to in League 3 as this is key information in deciding whether to go down the youth route?

Yes Micheal there is still maximum they can achieve 39 is the max they can boost to but obviously with the new boosts you can there much more quickly
Just say say you have a 20 rated 16 player played 30 games could easily boost to 30 now and if played a few maybe boost a touch more
If you say have 31 age 17 played 30 they technically should boost 39 now
But bear in mind this will depend on the players max rating which could be below the 39
Hope that helps you a bit

Thanks Colin, I saw a 21yo could go to 39 but last season it was stated separately also so just wanted to make sure this was still the case.
Yes the new structure of boosts is certainly going to make for an interesting next couple of seasons and it will be key to secure players with good potentials in this league now so not knowing the potentials of your players will be a huge disadvantage in my opinion!

Yes only trouble most players in the game at the minute have max of around 43-44 so until new players filter through won’t make much difference
Steve’s double standards raise boosts massively while keeping max ratings low in L3
Yes going to be interesting now all the better teams could well lose their advantage next season after boosts kick in the only other thing to bear in mind is they will need 30 games with new Loans losing a week every time they go out and trying to get your lower rated players the required is going to very tough balancing act.

Precisely this Colin. Now it’s going to be a fine act trying to get game time into everybody with the extra boosts available and with loan players unable to play 1 week in every loan spell.
That said I have to say I like the changes……although it’s a bit harsh on older players and will probably mean most will end up being a Tran2 as no one will be wanting to buy them with such a drop off the following season.

Broadly speaking, I think it's good that new comers to the game can catch up with established teams now. That's a positive. However I do have some reservations about the possibility of a player increasing by up to 20 rates in a league where max has up to recently, been set to 50. I know around 50% of the boost is the average. It is still conceivable that a player could boost by 15. Not sure that's overly realistic but I do see what your trying to do within the confinds of the software restrictions. In summary. More positive than negative.

I don't see why a 31 year old for example, drop has been increased? Why the change, it isn't old these days and also why league three is the same as the other two leagues in that regard

I think it's a matter of balance. A 31 year old is way cheaper to buy than a 21 year old and the wages are far less aswell. There has to be some practical disadvantage.
Also, if nobody has noticed, as it has been the case all of this season already, the young players particularly the youth finds tend to be the ones with the higher max potential ratings.
If you buy a 30+ year old off the auction he will probably be cheap but he is there to do a job this season, don't expect his max potential to be much above the rating he is now. Again that has been the case for the current season generally... obviously there are exceptions.
