I've given up on this and it's time for Plan B. I can't sit around forever waiting for a usable cartridge to turn up. The reason I only ordered one is that this is a new supplier. I wanted to make sure they were reliable before I ordered more.

So Plan B... I've done a lot of research today and sourced a slightly newer printer that will run on my operating system, in fact the drivers are still on the HP Official site and crucially most suppliers seem to stock the cartridges. The problem is getting the drivers onto the Summit PC as it isn't internet connected and the USB ports seem to have suddenly stopped working.

The Summit PC therefore needs to go back to the PC Doctor but he cannot take it for a couple of days. In the meantime I will see if I can collect the printer which is in a warehouse in Cheshire so I don't have to wait for it to be delivered. All being well the game should be able to restart at the weekend or Monday at the latest.

Yeah my wife says just give it up. Me, I can't wait to get going again but my biggest worry is that all the managers will have lost interest by now.

So the cartridge supplier who had me waiting around for 6 weeks pending a new delivery of stock with deadlines constantly shifting and then sent me a defective cartridge now tells me they don't have a replacement to send me. So it seems the cargo ship from China had one cartridge on it or it didn't happen.. at least the other suppliers that sent me old cartridges didn't make me wait 6 weeks.

So the Summit PC goes to the PC hospital tomorrow (Thursday) to get drivers installed and USB ports repaired which will hopefully be done by Friday and I head up to a place called Middlewich which sounds like something from Harry Potter to collect a new printer which I have already paid for hopefully on Friday.

I know this delay to the game has been excessive. I have tried to keep you involved every step of the way and if you read the whole thread you will probably sense my frustration but all I could really do is try and keep you all updated.

As soon as there is an update I will... err.. update as usual

I have a printer

Was told the PC would be ready today and I would get a text. Didn't get one and no answer to phone calls (it's usually just one guy on his own so not too surprised at that). So went there just now at 4pm and it was closed. He is supposed to shut at 5pm.

It doesn't make too much difference I guess since the post won't move until Monday anyway. I would love to say that League 1 will go out Monday for sure but if anything else can go wrong it probably will.
