Any news on what is happening with L2 Steve? It is now 72 hours past the 72 hour 'on time' processing deadline. Any info would be very much appreciated by us all as I know many managers have not been able to access the site so something to do with that maybe?? If you can keep us in the loop please.

My players are having a well deserved long rest in lg2, hopefully they will be up and running before they seize up lol, they get it far too easy!

Good to see the website back up. Has L2 gone out Steve?
I don't play League 2 myself but it's the knock on effect I'm thinking of.
I realise last turn was an extra long one as there was a break for one turn for the new season.
League 3 Week 33 was processed on 04/10/2023
League 3 Week 1 was processed on 25/10/2023 - 3 weeks
To be honest I'm struggling with my interest levels at the current average of 12.5 days per turn.
When the league is processed all activity within the game dies off after 48 hours. (Not your fault. Just the way it is!)
You can clearly see this on the forum.
I send my turn in then. There is no point in waiting for something to happen, because it never does.
I've yet to miss a good deal yet by sending in early. The very odd time I may resubmit if a deal does come up or I've forgot something, but very rarely. You can see it on the forum yourself. Many weeks the League 3 sections shows last message posted as 1 week ago!
It's a long 10 days or so, to wait for the game to become 'active again'.
I know you have no control over the manner in which the forum/game goes dead after a short time.
Managers are ready to recieve the next League then.
What I'm trying to say is that it's very hard to get any momentum with this game at the rate of 12.5 days on average per turn.
33 weeks x 12.5 days = 412.5 days approx to play a season!
I understand that this is primarily a postal game so managers need time to receive their post and submit.
I get that. But anything over 10 days (a personal opinion) is bordering on unplayable.
I understand you have had major website issues this week so I get that too.
Maybe a plan B needs to be in place, eg send a group email to all managers explaining the site is down. In order not to delay the league as a temporary measure you could hand write the turnsheet (for the few managers that haven't yet submitted) on this weeks sheets and scan it through.
This is just an example of a basic contingency plan to keep the game moving.
I realise life can be complicated and throw curve balls in many, many ways.
Please treat this feedback as it's intended. I'd rather give you a snapshot of where my head is at in relation to the game than stay silent. I'ts your game Steve. In my business I appreciate feedback. I've really enjoyed my 8 years in Summit.
It's been fun. I am considering things at the moment. What ever happens I appreciate the entertainment you have provided us all.

It's pretty much expected that there is a flurry of transfer activity once a turn is received which then dies down. If I sent a turn out every 48 hours the forum would be busy but I doubt anyone would be able to afford to play the game! PBM is quite leisurely, that's just the way it is as opposed to instant everything these days.
The turns have gone out pretty regularly recently, you illustrate it yourself with the League 3 dates, 21 days between Week 33 and Week 1 as it was between seasons and so missed a turn. If not between seasons you would have had two turns in those 21 days, so working as intended with a 10 day average turnaround as was the other two Leagues.
The current delay is unfortunate but if I cannot access the incoming turnsheets I can't really start processing Leagues. As it always is in these situations you assume it will be fixed within an hour and then get more horrified as it drags into more hours and then days which you didn't anticipate at all and emails to your hosting company get more and more frantic.
Thanks for the feedback. It's appreciated and I do of course take it in the spirit it is intended. I will be pushing the backlogged turns out as fast as I can.
