Since joining Lg2 and this is the youth players in my squad currently.
IF my ridiculous auction bid is successful and my deal with coolcol goes through then add these 2 to my squad.

30 DEF aged 17
31.6 MID aged 20

28.2 DEF aged 20

24.7 DEF aged 18
27.2 DEF aged 19

I obviously have 3 or 4 older players that I will be looking to move on in the coming weeks.
Obviously without there looking to be anything in the way of world beaters amongst them this makes me pretty uncompetitive in the prem compared to all the teams in there.
This model has allowed me concentrate on the stadium and a couple of turns time will see me breaking even without paying massive wages.
Building a squad for seasons to come was always going to be my aim but is there anything you experts of the game would have done differently? like add a hint of more experienced players or concentrate one 1 youth player at a time and try and be as competitive as possible?
I have a coach but im trying to utilize him best I can as opposed to training 1 player. Which obviously means slower progress.
Not having much success with my youth coach either.

yeah things looking good there and theres not many good team in div1 if you go down so a winning team and youngster should get some good increases over a season.
yeah sometimes coaching is slow ive been training player this season and hes only gone 0.5 in 6 turns so training someone else now
also youth coaches are hit and miss its just the luck of the draw if he finds a player.
i also bid big on that young def 29m was my bid so hopefully you didnt bid that much wink

I won't say on here how much my bid was worth as everyone will see if I'm successful. But it was too much.

Pretty much thinking I will go down but perfectly happy with that.

That's pretty impressive. With Twyford in season 3, I think, I filled my squad with youngsters and at one point my average age was around 20. I had to loan in a few players over the last few games to avoid relegation.

If you can get them all the required number of games then the future looks good.

Eventually there comes a point when you can't spend a season or so focusing on youth, you have to buy players to improve the squad. That was about a season ago for Twyford. That took 7 seasons!

As for a youth coach I got my best player from one only a few turns ago in league 1. A 17 rated 16 year old DEF. Almost 7 and a half seasons.

I guess it's up to each manager how they play it.
